Hi, anyone know if i should have had some sort of confirmation by email that my ESTA application for travelling to the States has been successful?  The monies have gone out of my bank and it said it was approved on-line but thought i would get something on email to print.

Is there not a place on the site where you can check if your exisiting ESTA is valid? Try that?

Don't recall getting a confirmation email when I renewed mine a little while ago...but I believe that you can check the status of an existing one on the same site.

If you don't recall the number you can get it from HERE

Personally, I take screen-prints and save them to Google Docs for future reference....comes in handy.

I've trawled through various FAQ's and websites and it appears you don't get a conf email.  The screen where it tells you that you're allowed into America is apparently one that you can print but all you really need do is take note of the ref number and even then people are saying you don't ever need to quote it as your passport number and esta details are all linked by computer so just rocking up at the airport in LV should be fine.

I didn't get a confirmation email.

Just hoped for the best and when I got there everything was fine.
