I got married at the Ice Hotel in Sweden and we saw it there. It's pretty amazing, we were on a trip the first time I saw it and ended up sitting down in a snow filled field for about an hour just watching it. Carried on watching it after, it's pretty special.
MBN. also wanted to go to the ice hotel at some stage! looks amazing. Been reading reviews, some people go on a cruise for 2 weeks and don't see it at all, then some go for 3 nights etc and see it every single night. Apparently if there is a full moon then you have no chance! Just gotta convince the missus now, she wants to go to walmer climates...
My parents went in March. Up to Tromso in Northern Norway. I believe best times are around the equinoxes, so March & September. And a lot of people go but don't see them. My parents were lucky - they were visible for 1 night of 3 they were there. Sounded pretty impressive. Photos very hard to get though. Think is was about -25C on the clear night!
Thats the place i was looking at going. Yea i have heard some photos come out terrible and it is better to be far away. -25 is my sort of temp! Cheers for the input
