ya i'd raise flop he very often has a piece of the board when he leads this texture and there are a ton of draws/action killers on the turn so we do need to protect/get value now.

It's a $1 rush turbo. Nobody folds any kind of a sniff of a hand and there's no real thinking going on.

If he's got a big flush draw he'll get it in on the flop.

If he's got a decent made hand he'll get it in on the flop to protect against a flush draw.

Unless he's got a total airball he ain't folding so just raise flop and look to get it in asap.

As played raise more on turn. Looks like he's trying to buy a cheap card but he won't mind paying a lot more for it.

Tbh, I know I butchered the hand up to this point. Could have got it all in on the flop and turn if Id played it anything like right.

This hand is pretty stupid and basic really, mainly wondered if I can get more value on river. Been really getting myself into knots on these kind of rivers where Iv not played the hand well to that point. I keep trying to extract when Im beat and flatting when I can get value.

As a loose rule, as played in this hand, do we just flat incase he has something like 9T or do we jam for value?

As a loose rule if you can think of a few hands that he might possibly have that are worse than yours that he might possibly call with then you can consider raising for value.

In this case that doesn't apply.

If you want to get funky you could raise to induce a bluff but at the $1 level I can't see that working out too well.

I understand that concept of value raising Matt, thanks Tongue. I guess I didnt really word the question well.

On rivers where villain has bet 3 streets into a 4 straight river, do we generally have to give him a polarized value range of mostly pairs that turned into straights (9T in this case) and just sigh flat, or do we take into account that theyve bet 3 streets and more likely are trying to value bet sets/2 pair (in this case, he had 88).

I know this is very situational and villain dependant, but just looking for a loose idea on other peoples opinions

Don't go giving too much credit in this spot. It's a $1 rush turbo.

He isn't capable of making a value bet with 2 pair.

He can see that there's a straight out there and either he's got it or he'll think you'll have it.

Don't value raise here.

Like you say it's very situational and pretty much impossible to answer correctly.

Even if he's value bet do you think he's calling your shove with worse?

Against a thinking player then you can get up to some funky tricks because he might be as well but I wouldn't even consider it in this comp.
