People who say "technically". WTF is that about? Almost always a SUPERFLUOUS word they just throw in for no particular reason other than to make themselves appear clever

FYP

Geo

I thought you were agreeing with me at first there Geo and I wondered why you had capitalized "superfluous". Then I realized you are having a go cos you think it's a big word.

Seems like a normal word to me but, if you have trouble with things like that, I'll try to remember to use short words for your benefit if we both get involved in the same discussion in the future.

merely pointing out the irony in using a big word when the rest of the sentence would have been fine

What irony? There is no irony. 'Superfluous' was a meaningful word in that sentence. And if you did just want to point out the imaginary irony you could have done it without adding the dumb bit at the end. And if there was any irony, or even if I was trying to look clever (which never even occurred to me), why do you feel entitled to post a put-down about it?

And lol to it being a "big word". Sorry for you if you think an everyday word is something special.

Better to post something that makes you look clever than something that makes you look dumb.

Fkn missing my train to London by 5 mins and having to stump up an extra 55 for a single one way standard class.

If that wasn't tilting enough my original ticket was for 60 return in 1st class, I walked by the first class to the train I'm on now and it was empty, I'm obv sardined into standard  Sad

Sick. Exactly the same happened to me last year when I was on my back from watching spurs getting hammered by Man City. Delay on the tube and I had an hour wait, £50 worse off and downgraded.

My one for this month is chewing gum that you put your brand new shoes in.

Someone doing an appeal on TV said "You could be one of the first..."

How can you be one of the first? There is only one first.
