On the xxx theme, I really don't like people who want to kiss everyone as a greeting. Family and close friends no problem, but there are people who are not in that group that always force it onto me, makes me feel uncomfortable.

People who ask for your opinion on anything topical, purely so they can challenge your opinion to try and demonstrate their intellect to you. Fuck off and DIE.

Did this comedy night in town on Friday.  The bar had a few local dickheads in and to cut a long story short one of 'em stuck the nut on my mate - blindsided him.  Then loads of people waded in and that was that.

The owner is now going to ban the lad and his brother accomplice from his establishment - this being the second time they have 'caused trouble', but would not phone the police and have them placed on local Barwatch, so now we can go his bar and be safe from their thuggery but not the next one on the street.  And my mate is more a 'law of the jungle' type and won't go to the Police either.  His eye is a right mess too.

Infuriates me that people have this attitude but would glady go to the Police in loads of other circumstances.  I felt like reporting the whole incident myself but to what avail?

People saying "it is what it is" infuriates me for some daft reason.

My mate used to say, incessantly 'at the end of the day' and 'it's one of them'.  Once he combined both into the statement 'at the end of the day it's one of them' which rendered me know better off than before he had spoken.

I've posted this one before but it still amuses me. A lady on the train from work was on the phone to her mum, explaining that she and her fiancé were deciding what sort of hotel to stay in for their upcoming holiday. They had a choice, she explained, between a smart hotel and paying for the luxury or a basic hotel and spending money on nice meals. Every other phrase was 'at the end of the day', 'yer-kno' and 'like'.

She concluded:

"I told him the best thing to do is book the cheap hotel because a bed's just somewhere to sleep...at the end of the day"

I lold.

Pretty sure that when you go on holiday with your fiance these days a bed is not just somewhere to sleep
