I wish!
It was a $50 freezeout. I ended up in 4th.

We started with 2000 chips, it was coming to the end of level 2. Its a 3 am comp, which is full of mainly muppets. Although the last 2 nights running i have knocked out Joe Cassidy and Todd Brunson in these comps!!

IMO, I understand that your call on the flop was so that you could bluff him on the next card but i think that this is an expensive way to play and you should have run the bluff then, or folded. On the turn you are getting odds to flat call so you could call but a semi bluff is probably the most profitable play here (although probably not against this guy, lol). Can't fault your play on the end.
Basically, i would have played the same but i would have raised/folded on the flop.
However, i always do crap in the blondepoker tourneys so you might want to ignore me.
Edit
: if you call the turn bet and fold the river you have not played poorly (IMO) and you have (cheaply) told people that you are not gong to let people take your blinds.
A cheaper way to do the same thing could have been to raise on your BB and then, if you fold later, show your cards. If you are going to check, a raise is not much more and the cheap advertising will make people think you are nuts and will expect you to call them with trash (hence preventing blind steals).

I prefer to wait till the turn, it shows more strength and they are less likely to fish.
Ian you fool i will just relieve you of your chips when you think you can make me pass QQ with your 79!
I plan on Ginger making a re-steal on me when i have QQ again!

..I plan on you making a re-steal (attempted) with your A-8 when I have QQ.
But then nobody is that daft, surely?
