Really?  Of all the places I have spent anytime I thought the food in Taiwan was the worst of anywhere. I worked there for six weeks and they wanted me to go back full time and the food was one of the major reasons i turned them down. Everywhere else in Asia I have enjoyed but Taiwan....urgh!! |

Thailand street food is awesome, however expect food poisoning  tried the deepfried insects woodsey refers too (only when hammered obviously) and they were suprisingly nice, but tried black scorpion and that was like eating coal, pretty disgusting tbh |

 Also the barbequed fish is normally ok, they cover it in salt first which makes it look a bit rank after cooking, but you just remove the skin/crust and as long as its fresh its normally ok. | Click to see full-size image. |
