9 hands from a lively table 23...here's the lineup.

23     1     Sibel Melin
23    2    Faheem Samji
23    3    Spyros Mouzoura
23    4    Craig Young
23    5       Steve Brown
23    6    Andy King
23    7    Gary North
23    8    James Tidey
23    9    Rupinder Bedi

From a fish's viewpoint.

Blinds are 100/200

1. Bedi forces the price of poker up. 475 first to go. Spying weakness, Spyros Mouzoura pounces with a 1200 rerereraise. Bedi puts him on Ace and King and lets him have it.

2. Gary North on the dolly makes it 525 to play. Priced in, both James and Bedi call out of the blinds to see a cheap flop.

 three diamonds check/check/check

James leads out for 675, Bedi gets out of the way, Gary smooth calls.

Now James doesn't really know where he's at so checks. Gary bets 1225 and gets called. Ace and King for Gary which takes it down.

3. Blind vs Blind, Bedi makes it 500 from the small. Melin makes it up.

Bedi check calls 600.

both check the scary card

check, Melin bets 1300. Bedi tanks and chucks it in. "I've got an eight" Melin claims. Bedi flips Two Clubs for just third pair and scoops the pot. What a player he is.

4. 500 from Tidey in the cutoff, Samji calls from the BB.

two spades check, 500 from Tidey, call from Samji.

check, Tidey represents, with another bet of 1125 which forces a fold from Samji

5. Bedi raises again, 475 from the cutoff. Samji and Sypros are both fed up of him raising their blinds all the time, so decide to take a stand together...and call.

check check, Bedi, sensing the rebellion, elects not to cbet.

check from Samji, 875 from Spyros, Bedi folds, Samji calls.

check, tank check behind from Spyros who flips , second best to the for Samji. Bedi curses himself for not cbetting. He's looking on the edge of a meltdown today.

6. Sanji 475 on the dolly. 1600 from Young in the BB. Sanji sees a flop.

Two Clubs Young checks his cards for clubs. Reaches for chips. THen checks. Sanji checks behind.

1500 from Young, call from Sanji.

snap check, Sanji goes to put a bet together, Young attempts to talk him out of betting saying "I have the Queen I'll call, not too much" etc etc. Sanji's having none of that and says "you can't talk me out of this" and bets 6500.

Young realises he can't continue without a club so folds instantly. Sanji shows  for an airball. Nh sir.

7. Andy King opens UTG to 600, Bedi  calls from MP, Steve Brown shoves 4.6k from the BB, king folds, Bedi looks him up with a strong pair of Tens. Brown is caught in the cookie jar and shows just Ace King high. So George gets it in good yet again and manages to hold on the raggy board. I get the feeling an epic blowup would have ensued had he not.

8. Raise from Tidey takes it down.

9. Anger brewing, Bedi makes it 475 ftg. Spyros calls in MP, Gary North calls in BB.

Two Clubs check, Bedi cbets 850, Sypros folds. North calls.

North leads out for 1600, Bedi calls

3250 from North.

"SO SICK" Bedi exclaims and after tanking for a while launches the chips into the middle and slams down in fists in anger when shown As for the nuts.

The tournament director comes over and asks him to calm down.

Here ends the first Round with Alex.

Very shy, Sibel Melin, twin of Sibel

She told me not to take photos but I could "do anything you want when I am drunk later"

Just as well I wouldn't write something like that down

So Alex, do you think the book is working in your opinion?

George is a reformed character these days after seeing the poker-shrink.

He told me so himself just the other day...
