Hi all,
I usually say no to bubble deals as firstly i think it changes the whole concept of the game,in respect i want ppl to earn there money rather than just call me with 10 jack suited because they know they gonna get there money back regardless of what the outcome, and secondly because a majority of tournaments i play the cash up top is never really life changing amounts.
Dont get me wrong if i final tabled the DTD deepstack or Monte Carlo or maybe a gukpt main event where the money is much more significant, yeah i prob would do a deal that benefitted me.
Was playing Lutons £50 f/o last night and when the final table arrived the other 9 wanted to do £20 each so 9th and 10th took a oner each. My thoughts on this was that it wasnt really worth it as time u paid the twenty and tournie entry with reg you stood to make a total profit of £24. Tbh the money between finishing 5th and 8th was minimal anyway, with third place making it just bout worth cashing and all the money really between top 2. But even so only a  bag to the winner so hardly life changing amounts.
Some of the ppl on table were bit pissed of as they wanted the bubble, some just respected what i said, but i felt the whole mood changed towards me as a person because of my theory/reasons. Now anybody who knows me knows that i rarely do a deal because of reasons above, so would really just like to know what your feelings are on the bubble deal plz.

Suggest each player gets a  black and red card each black is deal . Red is no deal nobody no's who put which card in  . Did this in Ireland and also in Bolton  . Have a word with card room manager and is best way of avoiding bad feeling

I've had a few problems with this locally on the rare times I've played live at the local casino, I snap say no to a deal for the bubble everytime, at least one person will look to have a go at you, don't be forced into it by some arsehole(s).

I tend to find the attitude towards anyone who refuses a deal tends to be incredibly hostile and its something I have a real problem with.

As has been said, bubble deals change the whole dynamic of actually being on the bubble. If I know people actually care about min-cashing so will only be shoving a certain % of their range, that's good news for me.

Just have to stand firm. Whenever I'm asked I say I don't want to do a deal. When one or two inevitably pipe up to have a moan I simply say that I won't do a deal under any circumstances and you're wasting your breath trying to convince me otherwise. That usually ends it there and then.

I always do a saver if people ask. You can't argue that correct game theory is to retain the bubble dynamic, but good game theory sometimes doesn't work in small local comps as we well know. If the dynamic changes so the others are calling each other all-in with 10-J or whatever then sweet, let's get the final table started in 5 seconds flat. Anyway people getting their money in light isn't a problem at any time for me. For the little monies involved I want to avoid people I play socially with thinking I'm a wanker really and the night going moody for the sake of twenty quid. -EV to refuse saver imo. If it was for more money they could all GTFO thou.

If you are desperate 4 a bubble payment in a comp with a buy in less then 50 buy in . You must be desperate . Pay is always top heavy and winner shouldn't be paying out 2 those desperate for money back .

Anybody who thinks you're a wanker because you don't want to give the bubble a min-cash is normally a pathetic "live pro" whose down thousands of pounds lifetime. They're the same people who moan you raise too much, don't know what your doing and try and give you a poker lesson at the table despite you having a stack that's 3 times bigger.

I can honestly get over it if they think I'm a wanker.
