i had a recent post deleted for using the word Tom has just used. the thing that shocked me most was that i could not see what was wrong with actually using it. shame on me.

Herbie you can act like a fool at times.  Why on earth does anyone need to be the focus of discrimination to be able to speak out about it or be intolerant of it?  I don't like women being discriminated against, or the aged, or gays, or people of any race. It's utter bollocks to suggest that people shouldn't stick up for those who suffer discrimination.  In fact, it's often others who need to stick up for minority groups (or groups being discriminated against) most of the time - the very nature of them being a minority group or being placed in a position where they have some/all of their rights removed.

Oh, and I've been discriminated against, but that's irrelevant.

Yes thank , i should have worded it like you have. I absolutely did not want to imply that i HATE all gypsies because like you say I've probably met less than 1% of UK gypsies. But of the hundreds that i have come across i would say that over 90% of them i disliked.
