Out of interest, do those who don't find the young ages of the victims more disturbing have chlldren ?
I think it's natural to see it as slightly more tragic than if it was a party of much older people due to the lack of having lived anything like a full life with all the opportunities that would present.
On the Amy Winehouse thread it seems to be more emotive for people cause she was only 27, whereas if she had been a 65 year old soak I don't think people would bat an eyelid.
Nah, if someone goes into an old folk's home and starts shooting the place up, killing 84 people the same people won't go "Ah well, they had a good innings".
tbh, in that scenario, I might not say it out loud but I would think it

Not sure whether having kids or not really makes a difference to your outlook on things. Only time I can recall off the top of my head being genuinely moved to tears by a news story was following the dunblane massacre and that was long before became a mother
Yeah, but you're a girl and generally I'm right so I probably am with this too.

I'm just really heartened that in this day and age when you repeatedly get nutters using the dramatic killing of scores of people in order to draw broad attention to their crazy little manifesto, that the media especially permanews channels collectively decide refuse to encourage them, and instead give the story only a brief mention at the very end of the bulletin.
Oh wait...
