Thanks guys, appreciate the support!

No good in the omaha unfortunately - kind of inevitable I guess. Hung around starting stack for a while without much happening. Not much room for playing a creative game as it was all very call-y. Then lost the remaining 9k in level 4 with a pair and a wrap vs a flush draw with the bottom end of the wrap. Both of us bricked the draws, but he caught a bigger pair on the end, so no good.

£220 6-max tonight - just slept (disgustingly) well and raring to go.

Also, I spoke to Nick and Tikay who said they were happy for me to settle up with them after all the events have been played. However, I can send profit-so-far out if anyone needs it - just let me know.

If I paid you another £500, could I get 10% of your Chinese Poker action v Cos?

No. I'm pretty happy to keep the full 100% on that one Smiley

Sigh, I must be the only one who has managed to lose to the Greek one at Chinese.

I seem to have had the run of bad luck vs him that only Sorell could prevent.

No good in the 6-max. Grinded up to 2x starting in first hour, the lost my stack in 3 chunks - turned straight/flush draw vs overpair missed, lost KK vs 88, then last bit went in with T7 vs AT on T96.

Sorry! Feeling ready to go though for the ME tomorrow. Playing the later shift (6pm kickoff) so let's gogogo!

Disappointing end to the main event. After getting off to a bad start and running down to 7k, I found myself on a wonderfully soft table and ground it up to 22k.

After losing a couple of frustrating ones vs a young german guy (who is relatively good, but very speqy, and ended the day on 70k) and getting down to 17k, I 3-bet AKss to 2100 from the SB, and the cut-off (who had raised to 700 at 150-300) peeled from a total stack of 7k. On a flop of 9-8-5 I put him in for his last 5k. He took a while to call, maybe 10 secs including re-checking his cards twice, but called. Then waited for my AK to be shown before flipping 7-6 for the nuts. I don't think it was an intentional slowroll - just a lot of naiveity - but I had to take a 2 minute breather and moan to Tikay anyway - thanks for listening!

Down to 9k, got 3-bet a couple of times by players who I had pegged as relatively honest, and had to pass. I then raised KQ, being called by the SB. We saw a flop of K87ss and he checked. I bet 1200 (maybe should have checked behind for pot control - but obviously not exactly a dry board) and he raised enough to effectively set me in. I figured he never really has A-K/K-8/K-7 in this spot - so could be ahead with 8-8 or 7-7, drawing heavily, or have K-Q/K-J/K-T, so on balance I thought it was correct to get it in. He flipped middle set. GG

One more tourney tonight. Feeling like since the first tourney I have played fairly well, but definately could have been better - really going to try and bring my A-game tonight and try to bring another result home for us all!

GL Nick in the main event!

Nope, I lost too! Not quite sure how. We could train a monkey to randomly arrange cards and he would be a better player.
