Sod off Tighty. You can't have Brees for Romo

POINT OF ORDER, PLEASE
The league hasn't started, so why are the Arkansas Gravediggers below The Bsides and PancakeBlock?

So my strategy was derived from reading Matthew Berry's draft day manifesto. However, it needed to be tweaked a bit depending on draft position. I originally intended on going RB/RB in the first two rounds but the early run meant I switched to going RB/WR. I was looking to get a top 10 running back which I feel I got with Charles at 10 and a top 5 WR which again I felt I got with Green in the second.

I felt like it was important to get a lot of running back options as they are no points per reception but I didn't really account for how significantly the positions would drop off. I was fairly successful in handcuffing the Denver RBs as I read that Moreno is likely to be used more as a blocking back but I would have liked to pick up Powell to handcuff the Jets RBs too but I was probably naive in thinking he'd fall further than he did.

I felt like it wasn't key to pick up a QB earlier as the talent pool there was larger and the drop off from 5-16 not as significant so I'd be able to get a decent option in a later round. Similar to the TEs where I felt like outside of Graham there wasn't really much difference between the options down to about 20.

I have no idea if this was a good draft strat or not, time will tell!
It'll be an interesting season for sure. Good luck gents.

Superb writeups, Sheriff, I should add.

The RB thing really made me think. I had focussed most of my research on the last eight rounds (where they were otherwise pretty much just names until last week...), so I'm not surprised I've got a bit of a squiggle over a few in the middle. Overall predictions on the site suggest I.haven't disgraced myself, so let's see what happens.

Great read Curtis

Lex will be most pleased that you like the Cameron pick, and I'm to blame for Dalton (Brent Grin)

Loving the write up Curtis!

Also loving the projections for week 1!

But mainly loving the fact the fella that mugged us off for having Dalton has Newton as his only QB who btw is being tipped as a "Rest 'Em" this week  Tongue

wow, set a high standard as commish there Curtis, great stuff. My lowlight was drafting the wrong player in an early round and looking at the list of 2nd/3rd ranked wr and thinking I will be able to get a few of those later only for them to go quicker than I expected. Would exchange my squad for quite a few other ones tbh, think there are some really good drafts in there. Esp love Linux' work. Spiller and Charles look real steals too.

gl guys

Had a good study up on the teams.

Think shaplea is favourite.

Like his team a great deal.

I do sympathise Curtis.

I thought about benching Peyton Manning for EJ Manuel.

Phew, close shave.

I'm expecting great things from Sudfeld!

That game threw out some ridiculous scores - FML that I'm facing Demariyus Thomas too but poor Longy's debut game sees him staring at a 7TD passing game from Peyton Manning!

To the new managers out there, a lesson:

20+ point games are pretty special.  Always take care not to leave players about to have them on your bench.

This interactive demo is brought to you by the Sheriff's Stars Live Tutorial Company Inc.

Congratulations on completing this 1 game tutorial.  Scores will now be reset and the real game will now begin.

Chase Reynolds - Just to clarify, I follow Chase's Great Aunt Glenda on his mothers side on Twitter, and she assures me that big things are expected from Chase this season.

OK - it was a mis-click, I can't even work out who I was trying to draft, and believe me I have tried. Sigh!

Great write ups Sheriff.

Have a good season all.

Looking for trade offers for my under performing, over the hill QB P Manning.

Need in exchange: QB, RB, WR and TE.

Oh and throw in a kicker too.
