Hi All

The record breaking Dusk Till Dawn Grand Prix has officially commenced. With the first day of Day 1’s over, how are we looking to make the 5,000 entry guarantee?

The first day of Day 1’s came to a close last night. The 7pm tournament attracted a total of 82 players, and the 9pm tournament attracted 75 players. 8 players from each went through and secured their seats in Day 2, which will be held at Dusk Till Dawn on Saturday 20th August. This August’s Grand Prix stretches over a period of two whole weeks, and last night was the opening chapter of the main event.

The numbers were lower than anticipated – will this Grand Prix follow the pattern of our others and snowball the closer we get to the finish date or should Dusk Till Dawn brace themselves for the overlay of the year?

Tonight -

The same tournaments as last night are scheduled in for this evening and for the rest of the week until Friday. The top 10% of players in the 7pm and 9pm tournaments will join those from last night and battle it out for the quarter of a million euro prize pool.

Although last night’s results were somewhat disappointing for Dusk Till Dawn, players that prefer the shorter fields were happy! Every night this week, and across all our club Day 1’s which start on Saturday, we’re sending through the top 10% of the field, whether there are 40 players or 400.

All players that make Day 2 will have made the money. They return on Saturday 20th August with a brand new starting chip stack of 15,000 and a longer clock of 40 minutes.

RE-ENTRY

50% of our 9pm winners last night had re-entered!

For all the players that don’t make the top 10% they have the option to RE-ENTER back into any other Day 1 tournament. Just over 25% of last nights 7pm tournament opted to re-enter into 9pm 4 of which made up the final 8 players that made it through to Day 2.

Action resumes tonight at 7pm. If you're not playing yourself, you can head to the Online Poker Lobby, go to the tables and watch the action live!

Cheers

Hi All

Grand Prix Golden Chippers: 9 already through to Day 2

There were 16 successful Grand Prix Day 2 qualifiers last night, 9 of which were Golden Chip holders.

The 7pm flight consisted of 49 direct buy ins along with 33 satellite winners, of which 27 had Golden Chips. Amongst them there were 10 players with the potential to re-enter into another Day 1 flight with their additional satellite wins should they get knocked out. The top 8 players made Day 2 including 6 satellite winners with 5 Golden Chippers who are now one step closer to collecting their Mini Cooper or £15,000 cash at the final table.

At 9pm the total 75 entrants were made up of 46 x €60 buy ins and 29 satellite winners (22 Golden Chips). Again eight Day 2 seats were generated therefore 4 direct buy in players and 4 Golden Chip satellite winners will be joining us at the club on Saturday 20th.

Two of the unsuccessful Golden Chip holders in the 7pm flight who also had Golden Chip re-entry seats in the bank contacted our customer support team to get re-entered for 9pm with their re-entry tickets. Not only did we manage to get them both registered in time, they both walked away from the 9pm flight with a seat to Day 2 and an active Golden Chip. If you have any queries about your Grand Prix IV entry or re-entry please email Nicola@dusktilldawnpoker.com or contact our Customer Support Team as they appear to have magical powers and will do their very best to get you entered and through to Day 2!

Simon

Good to know I can have a shot at the 12pm comp as a late reg and then still get in the 7pm flight if necessary.

The live comps are critical to the success of this.

Hopefully they'll get well over 300 for each one.

Good luck DTD.

Lots of people asking what happens if you qualify on two day 1s? Can you transfer day 2 seats?

Also Kesney or something openly admitting multi accounting. How dare he? Dont worry though Herbie and I saw him off.

Why the hell would you play 2 day 1s?

It's not a satellite. You've played day 1 and now you're through to day 2. That's it.

Would be interesting to see if the software can cope with mootards registering when they're already through though.

I'm guessing it'll just let them play again. Will be very interesting if one of them qualifies.

If you want to play a few more Stu you can play on my account if you like. I'll pay you £300 if you get me through.

I dont want to play anymore, but there was plenty of chat with people confused about what happened.
At least one guy was playing even though he had already qualified so he could transfer to a friend and another guy just happily admitted to playing on his partners account.
I just wondered what the official answer was.

Software will cope with it fine imo and the names will just be duplicated to DTD.

I'm all done, that was pretty much the only Day 1 I could play. ;-)

That final table was fun, some really bad play, opening for 2 bigs then folding AQ for 4 bbs reraise was one I saw. I was railing oldkingco (well watching him fold to the Day 2 seat) good to see you get thru after the accident vs A7  Smiley

Thanks Simon, thought I had made a mess of it with that ropey call!

Hi Stuart

If you make Day 2 twice you will not be able to transfer your seat so will just lose the buy in for the second day 1 I'm afraid.

Cheers
