I have decided that this is now a must have item, although my question is..... is a 32 GB ipad 2 big enough?? Or do current users suggest 64 GB?

When I enquired at one stockist today they had no 64 GB ones, due to a low demand. One more daft question, do we need the 3G capability or do we feel there are enough wi-fi zones available to enjoy? (my main places of use will be home/work which both have wi-fi). Anyone with any views on this, I would be very appreciative.

I have one with the min capacity and no 3G i use it at work or home both like you have wifi. Most apps baring some games are small so you have literally install hundreds on 16g.  I have 1000's of photos on it and have never had to delete anything to make space. Unless you want to browse in transit i wouldnt bother with 3g. If i am ever bored with my ipad without wifi there is loads to do and read on them without the net.

i bought the min 16gb one with no 3g seems enough as music doesn't take up much room and i tend to move my movies and tv stuff on and off it and regular intervals... most of the places i use it, work, home etc have wifi and if not i can tether it off my iphone

I have the 32gb, loads of room for me with photos/apps/music I have the iphone 4 and can tether to that for internet if there is no wifi and that works fine.

Best purchase in a long time for me.

considering one for my missus, but i don't "get them"

She already has -

I-phone3GsI (or wotever its called)
Kindle
I-pod
DVD player

What else does she actually need that the I-pad does that those don't offer?! - Genuinely confused by it all

(Upgarding the I-phone next month, but I hear the I-phone 5 is on its way?)  Upgrading to Iphone 4 - worth it?

Thx for the replies, defo have a better idea of what i need/want. The only downside is that I will have to get the 3G capability as I will be in the middle of nowhere come september for work. Simples 32GB it is.

I have not been this excited about a gadget/game since the original football manager on my commodore 64 hit the streets! I had to get up at 6am to play this as computer games were not allowed in my house after 9am on a weekend, the cassette took 20 minutes to load up and often crashed.... Great times! Kids these days eh....... pffft.

I was there for a year back in 2002 at DSSS doing collection course and it was prob the best year I had in the forces. I played rugby so it was cheers easy for me, half day Mon, Wed and Friday. 8-4 Tues and Thursday Cheesy

I won a brand new iPod touch in a comp last night so I'm gonna flog that and put it towards one. I might just wait it out though and see what happens over the next month or so. They'll bring one out in October or something if I buy now and I'll be steaming!!
