A patch will be just fine for me.

isn't matching tops a requirement for entry? pretty sure it has been in the past

Frank is to order tops

Team colours please.

Have found a supplier for the blonde team shirts.I have gone for a burgundy polo which looks great with the blonde logo on the left side.

I have ordered two per team member and one for Sian (solarcarros girl friend).I have everyones size except for Derrick Andrews & Paul Noonon. So if you guys could let me know your size please, I can finalise everything.

Price is £20 for two.

You can collect The shirts from me at The Days Inn on Saturday 22/10/11 from 12.00 until 12.45.

Any questions you can let me know on here please or pm me.

See you all in Luton,

Frank.

I feel the urge to dig out the blonde wig, scarf and manbag and suspect Solar and Sian will too - Deja Vu or Groundhog Day!!!! Nice choice Frank just keep them away from TK  thumbs up

"It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming APAT's coming home"

Nearly time lady and gentlemen, lets take this one DOWN and win it for Blonde. We have the best team, the best forum and the best captain (obv cos he picked me). Luton is also the ancestral home of Blonde Poker so we basically have home field too.

I am predicting Blonde Poker to defeat the APAT Champions team in a close race on Sunday, now over to Frank (the afore mentioned captain) for a stiring speech. OK Frank, take it.

Yes Frank, how shall we play this?

Fast and fun (in the bar area by 6?)
or
nit up into the points (lol, I'm sure we can try?)

What try to nit up? Maybe

Try to get into the points - WE CAN DO A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN TRY AS YOU KNOW MATE !!!!!!!!

I'll stick my 2 cents in before Frank comes along and shut's me up :-)

Everybody has to do what they do best. You all know what your best game is, for some of you that will be loose and aggressive for some of us sit tight and pick out spots. Only you know which way makes you most confident but whatever it is bring it, bring your A game as the competition is fierce. The team will support each other all the way whatever happens, even if we finish bottom, but I for one do not believe, not even for one second that this will happen.

Make the right plays, make the correct calls and the tough laydown's as you all know you can. If the cards break even we will win, it's as simple as that. We may get unlucky but we will not get outplayed.

Also don't worry about the team dynamic straight away. Frank can assess and decide on tactics when the time is right. Which is unlikely to come before day two.

That is all - see you in Luton

I don't know what to say, really. One day to the biggest battle of our blonde poker lives. All comes down to Luton. Inch by inch, play by play. Until we're finished. We're in hell right now, Believe me. And, we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time. Now I can't do it all for ya, I'm too old. I look around, I see these young faces and I think, I mean, I've made every wrong choice a middle-aged man can make. I've pissed away all my money, believe it or not. You know, when you get old, in life, things get taken from you. I mean, that's a part of life. But, you only learn that when you start losin' stuff. You find out life's this game of inches, so is Poker. Because in either game - life or Poker- the margin for error is so small. I mean, one bad call or one bad bet can make the difference from winning or losing, and you don't quite make it. The reads we need are everywhere around us. They're in every turn of a card, every look of an eye, every touch of a cheek, every word spoken, every minute, every second. On this blonde team we fight for that inch. On this blonde team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches, that's gonna make the difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying! I'll tell you this, in any fight it's the guy whose willing to die whose gonna win that inch. And I know, if I'm gonna have any life anymore it's because I'm still willing to fight and die for that inch, because that's what living is, the six inches in front of your face. Now I can't make you do it. You've got to look at the guys on the team and look into their eyes. Now I think your going to see a guy who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see guys who will sacrifice themselves for this team, because he/she knows when it comes down to it your gonna do the same for him/her That's a team, guys and either, play as a team, or we will die as individuals. That's Poker guys, that's all it is. Now, what are you gonna do?

Frank.
