It was a very well organised event. I was disappointed that I couldn't rebuy after being eliminated from Day 1B, but it's great news to learn that the reason was because the event was so popular. Well done to everyone involved.

Grosvenor added 28 seats to next year's Goliath worth over £3000 so that all players making day 2 go home with something.

Live stream tomorrow will be on a delay as we are showing the players hole cards.

Even though my exit was painful I would still say that without doubt this is the best tournament I've ever played in the UK.

Everything about it was 1st class and this is a must play event for next year.

From the GUKPT website

Deucastrous for Deadman

Lee and Simon all-in pre "only looked at the ACE" from Lee.  He's in for 5.8 mil.

Lee with A-Deuce and Simon A3 and with one card to come it's looking like a split until "no deuce from Lee!" .. it IS a DEUCE; Lee raises his arms in the air like a victorious Cantana.

Simon with plenty of chips left UNTIL he's in with Lee again holding pocket NINES but Lee has ACES!!

The ACES have it and Simon left with just over 2 mil and all-in next hand (Lee on 22 mil now btw).

Lee calls with K6 and Simon has Q5.

A FIVE on the flop but two overs and open ended for Lee.  The turn blanks (ACE) but a SIX on the river and SIMON is a DEADMAN.  He finishes 4th for £10,590

I don't know Simon but was watching this (almost) live and I have to give him tonnes of respect for the way he took the beats.

Texted him after saying WP, UL and willing to listen to his frustration, but he's v happy with how he played and didn't even complain once. Absolute class act
