Grand prix. 400/800/100. I have 28k. Villian has 60ish. He has obtained his chips by flopping a set of eights early against aces. Not been too active since apart from getting 30k in against Vargas by 5 bet jamming AKss and getting there against KK.

I have my usual image. Active- in loads of pots. 3 betting with frequency. I have 3 bets 65dd and been cold called by Rich Berridge OTB and getting 3 streets of value on a K6463 board (jamming the river)

Villian opens 2nd to act to 2100. There's a passive lady in the big blind so he could be light. I look down at 2 red jacks and 3 bet to 5225. Villian tanks for about a minute then peels. So i have around 23-24k behind

Flop is Kc6s4s. Villian looks at my stack and then shoves in a stack of purples to set me in.

Another nice overbet spot. We shoud?

I would fold. You have a good stack and really dont need to take blind gambles at this stage. If villian has a king you are a big dog, if he has a flush draw you may still be the underdog (AQss), or a small favourite.
Without a really good read i can't see how you can possibly take the chance that villian is making a bluff oop. I would expect at least a flush draw from villian.

to put it simply. In these spots you're usually  either very wrong or a little bit right, i used to call in these spots a lot expecting 99/TT to be more frequent than KQ KJ, nfd's but they seldom are from my experience and you look a tool when he asks if u have AK before flipping QK and then looking at you like you're the biggest clown in the room. When I do call in these spots online, I usually hover my curser over the window closer so I can snap close the table when some tool berates me for calling off Smiley

Not folding. Dodging one overcard and a flush draw.

Whilst I was tanking (for about 4 mins) he calls clock. Does this make it an easier fold?

I'm sticking with the fold regardless, but, villian calling the clock would make me even more likely to fold here. To my way of thinking, the fact that you've tanked means that he knows that you certainly don't have a set and are highly unlikely to have aces or ace king. It would lead me to believe that he probably has aces, which he is now very confident that he is ahead with, maybe even queens.
Also, if he thinks he's behind and you appear to be seriously close to folding, i dont think that he would want to interrrupt your thought processes by calling the clock on you.
I've had very little experience of clock calling situations, but, trying to put myself in villian's shoes that's how it seems to me. I guess it goes back to the title of your post?
