it doesnt matter i dont think - being oop sucks here thou - and for that reason i play it passively and overbet if we get there by the river (esp if we hit the o/s 9)

fwiw - in position I would go as far as to say you should almost always win this pot and for that reason I would raise flop and barrell  turn & river

Raise it up! You've got a ton of equity and the opportunity to make his life difficult on later streets as so much of his range just won't be in love with this flop or many turn cards

Check call flop - miss turn, therefore check call, miss river, therefore bluff and fold when raised.

Hate playing against loose players OOP, however on this board I'm check raising.

I'd call this early.  To the c/r guys, are you happy getting it in if he decides to 3bet you rather than peel/fold?

the problem with playing it passively on the flop is that cards which make our hand on the turn are also potential action breakers, limiting how much we can get in good if we hit, i guess raise and look to make a 4b flop jam if he starts clicking.

My line of thinking was (and it usually is flawed in mtts tbf Sad  ) that it doesn't necessarily kill action.  Rightly or wrongly, I always feel that against such players, the ability to lose the minimum or get paid the maximum is a nice edge.  We forfeit that edge when we get the lot in against him.  We might be an equity fav in the hand, so there may be edge getting it in too.  Just against bad players, if an o/s 9 drops in, we might very well still stack him (+$50 bounty KO) if he has an overpair or just won't put down A8 or w/e, but without having to put all our marbles on the line.

i'm down with this.

yes considering how active he's been so far. i don't think he'll be the type to only ever show up with a set so if we don't get him to fold we're in decent shape getting it in.
