Julian Thew of Sky Poker raises pre

Jeff Taslim calls him in position

Flop Q-10-Q

Thew c-bets, called

turn 8

Thew bets, Taslim raises, Thew raises, Taslim all in and called

Whew.

Thew 8-8 for the turned house. Nice.

Taslim 10-10 for the flopped bigger house. Nicer.

The board reads A-Q-9-Q-2

M Abelkader and Ali Mallu are in the pot, Abelkader in late position and Mallu in the blinds

Mallu first to act on nthe river a big overbet, setting Abelkader in

Abelkader thinks, and thinks, and has the clock called

With a few seconds to go he calls,

He flips Q-10 and immediately turns it back over, assuming he must be beat

However Mallu does not turn his cards over

the dealer asks Abelkader to reveal his hand if he wants to win the pot

So Q-10 gets turned over again

Mallu mucks, his perennial tactic of putting maximum pressure on his opponents having backfired on this occasion, as he says goodbye to most of his stack

Steve Jelinek is running pretty well

He calls a raise from Jalal Rasoul, in the blinds, with

flop  two spades

He leads, Rasoul moves in for under 20,000 and Jelinek calls

Rasoul

turn

river  to knock Rasoul out

Meanwhile David Johnson wins a big pot off Marc Boss Goodwin

A-Q on K-6-2-J-10 against turned two pair from Goodwin

The capacity here is much greater than when I last visited. Over 25 tables are set up in an L shape

Here's one part of the room, with the bobalike table nearest us
