I keep getting a message flashing up on my pc screen about roxwatchtray9.exe

It looks very virusy to me so I tried to do a system restore to an earlier date only to find that all my system restore files appear to have gone.

It's some kind of Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library thing that I've never seen before hence the reason I'm suspicious.

Is my pc about to go nuts?

No it's my old pc.

The animal porn pc blew up in a delightful display of sparks and flames and is currently awaiting the arrival of a new power supply.

If your roxwatchtray9.exe is a real version of roxwatchtray9.exe then it should be ok. It's something to do with Roxio Easy Media Creator. If you google "roxwatchtray9.exe" there is loads of stuff about it. I never was a big fan of Roxio applications even when back in the day when they were good.

NOTES: Try looking at http://kb.roxio.com/search.aspx?URL=/content/000110CR&PARAMS=set-locale=en

Uninstall the roxio burning software, reboot, if it's still there you're probably in bad shape.

Googling virus stuff normally gets some pretty good results.
