Groovy, thanks.

The T & C's I thought I linked to in a previous post where found at poker.williamhill.com after a quick Google.

i heard from a v well know/respected/credible source who plays 2/4-10/20 on ipoker that there are a lot of bots playing a very specific style. they have beaten even 5/10 using this weird strat but slowly more regs were noticing the tendencies. (the bots were not shortstackers)

im almost certain there are shortstacking bots at low-mid stakes plo on there also and a few others have also mentioned the same suspicion.

Can't believe they have admitted to having a bot of their own though. I say good- hopefully it will cause Ipoker to clean up their act after the inevitable 2+2 witchhunt.

To be fair, I don't believe they have, as such.

From their terms and conditions -

10.1.1.4  in games offered via the Website which benefit from more players or greater liquidity we may deploy electronic players (known as robots, and whose usernames will be "bot") who are pre-programmed to play and join in with the game in order to assist the liquidity or the number of players gaming although we will not use bots without making such usage clear to You;

Plus, there is this apparent quote from customer support -

"Player: Is the player "bot771107" a bot?
Laura: Yes (he is); and he is also marked as one (a bot)"

That is incorrect. The T & C's as to "bots" is under the Casino section, it is NOT in the Poker section.

As to the info given in the call to CC, it's clear it was a palpable error, which has been explained. CC Agents for Online Gaming Sites are usually sub-contracted to outside agencies, or are freelance staff, & are notorious for not accurately knowing the fine detail.

The whole Thread is typical 2+2 over-rectionments in my personal opinion, looking for shadows which are not there, with the usual incredible scare & conspiracy theories woven in, & "it's the end of the world" type nonsense.

I have no flag to fly for i-Poker, God knows I loathe them for the disgraceful way they treated blonde, & with-held monies wrongfully from our Clients, & us, but the thread is as near to a level as it gets, & anyway, it does not mean we should not be fair & sensible in our views & opinions towards them. In my opinion, that is.....

There may well be bots on the poker site, but if so, they are not sanctioned by WHP or i-Poker.

There was a highly amusing part of the thread where it became evident that these "secret" bots not only all had the "bot" prefix in their screen-name (as they do on the Casino Sites), but they even chatted in the Chat Box, & watched other Tourneys!

Maybe it's me being whooshed, but someone is, clearly.

These are obviously the latest generation T-X bots - and they watch other tournaments to learn and improve.

what are the casino games that have bots in them?

Glad you asked, I am finding it hard to imagine which casino/table games would require bots ?

What is amazing about the bots is that they are very "unbot like," in so far as it is really difficult to read any predictable tendencies, or find too much to exploit.

It's worrying that iPoker has known about this for so long, and still nothing has been done.
