Former chief executive and co-founder of US technology giant Apple Steve Jobs has died, the company says. He was 56.

"Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve," Apple said.

Vile thing cancer.

An amazing guy, RIP.

Without a doubt actually changed the world in which we live, changing our lives at the same time.  Not many can say that.

Haha I remember Final Fight, I used to play that on my Atari ST when I was a kid and think I'm gonna have to get it now for my phone Cheesy

Great speech too thanks for posting, I never knew much about Steve Jobs but did quite a bit of reading last night and some of the things he did was incredible.

As everyone said a true pioneer and man that did actually change the world . RIP

Brilliant and highly intelligent man, but was his scepticism of modern medicine a contributing factor to his death?  Could earlier medical intervention have saved him?

If it stops others doing the same thing, then surely it should be brought up?  I don't think Job's family or close friends read blonde so I don't think my post will upset them.

I think we all agree that not getting proper medical attention is pretty stupid. Jobs obv also realised this, albeit after 2 years. Alternative medicine is OK for hippies and religious people but if you think it can cure cancer better than proper medicine you're obv going to die.

Just surprised at the way your question reads like a sun headline

"DID JOBS KILL HIMSELF?" Apple wiz refused medical treatment for 2 years after being diagnosed with cancer!"
"He thought Green tea would save his life", says close friend.

I don't think Job's family or close friends read blonde but, then again, I also don't think any blondes are stupid enough to think that cancer can be cured by eating green beans instead of carrots.

This kind of post will only lead to copycat behaviour from executives at HTC and Samsung.

RIP Steve Jobs, what a legend.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me i didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life.
