I mean unless you are losing $10k a night on stars. Surely since you win every other tourny on party you can sit tight for a few more weeks and see about this french deal?

I feel bad for you but just saying

do people really think they will get their money back off the investor if it does go through? I reckon i'd be lucky to get back the 500 or so ftp points i had on there.

I can't beleive they can't get investors to step in, if the site was run financially soundly its just a money factory, maybe they think the name is too sullied - but people still played on UB.

As long as the DoJ is going after FTP there is no chance of another investor stepping in. They also have to cough up the 300-400mill$ in players funds + whatever FTP's shareholders would want from the deal.

It's a money factory yes but not a cheap buy.

At this time a lawsuit will almost certainly reduce your chances of getting your money back.

lol

Nobody in their right mind would touch FTP with a shitty stick imo. Outstanding $1bn lawsuit and missing $300m in player funds, any buyer is gonna want a payment from the previous shareholders for taking it off their hands.

Along similiar lines, but obv not exactly the same, I had money with crown currency exchange when they went tits up.

There is an action group formed by someone of which i am a member, It has been over a year now, after going through the police, it has been through the courts and none of us have had a penny back... we supposedly won as well but over costs get priority over people whose actual money was lost. They are only just mentioning now that a few people might see some of their money.

Whatever route it will be a long drawn out process. The media were involved for like 2 weeks then obv got bored..

[  ] I have any hope of seeing any of my money again.

Milligan, are you this man?

Someone will get the right deal. Rest assured the guy trying to buy it is finding a way to buy it without having any liability to the robbed players.

Perhaps media involvement may not be the greatest idea, it was just put to me by someone, however, as outrageous said, getting others who have large sums together and are sick of waiting around to do something is the way forward.

I am definitely going to get in touch with authorities to see what the best way forward is. Having our names out there, first in line (as such) can't do any harm. Without sounding selfish, I believe having 5 figures of my own money stuck there should be accounted for before the many people who have 10-100$ there that don't even care if they don't see it again.

If anyone has any other advice of how to proceed it would be very much appreciated. Once I have contacted the persons suggested by the AGCC I will let people know of any feedback. If any of you have a large sum tied up and are sick of just sitting praying a miracle happens, feel free to contact me.

It may well be doubtful anything at all can be done, but clubbing together as one has got to be better than doing nothing at all.

Not sure why there'd be any flaming

In Spraggs position (assuming substantial sums are trapped) I would

a) Report my position to the AGCC and ask them to forward it to the police, getting a reference number
b) Investigate via threads like this whether there was any appetite for a Class Action/Group. If I wasn't prepared to do the leg-work/front it myself find someone who will.
c) If one is set up report that to the AGCC too
d) Set myself a budet for how much I was prepared to allocate in expenses/legal fees to try and get a return

all the time aware that a meaningful return was very odds against and that the first part of any return, if not a lot more, would get swallowed in those expenses
