i am selling 30% for the €10,400 WSOPE main event in cannes next week @ 1.2
i believe that whilst the buy in is quite steep the location and brand name should help to make this tournament one of the best value comps of the year.
this is the first time the event will be held outside of london, a move made apparently to accommodate increased numbers. so whilst last year's event only fielded 346 entrants, this year should hopefully be a decent amount bigger. the partouche poker tour €8.5k main event was recently held in the same casino as this comp and reached 579 runners.
i have never been to cannes before but i am reliably informed by many friends that the standard of poker is very typically frenchy/fishy which i am very comfortable playing versus haha
i play mid/highstakes online mtt everyday and think my game is constantly improving all the time. i have played several WSOP/EPTs events now and will be unfazed by the occasion. i have also cashed 2 out of 3 WSOP main events which use the exact same structure as for this event (30k on 2hr levels)
