nutty table, you are seen as sensible, solid
UTG and UTG+1 limp. Both have 10k chips plus. They see a lot of flops, call a lot of raises and are hitting cards. You cannot bluff them, they will call. Bad players fundamentally, but on a roll
Cut off and button limp
You are in the Small Blind
you find
You consider raising but there's not a lot of point. UTG will call and then the rest will
You complete
BB checks
Flop
You are first to act
there is 600 in the pot.
You have 5400
UTG 10K+
UTG+1 10K+
Cut Off 4500
Button 5000
Check or bet, if you bet how much
Next few posts will take you on the journey of this hand

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Bet the pot.
You said that the UTG and UTG+1 will probably call anyway - get the money in when ahead!!

I feel I am ahead although not to happy 600 not a lot to bet if you see a dangerous turn then maybe retract, but not automatic still put pressure on if poss

1. First of all I am going to put a small raise in re-flop
- to build a pot incase I hit my set
- there is more likely to be action in a bigger pot (worth fighting for)
- people are unlikely to risk there tournament in an unraised pot, so my chances of doubling up diminish in an unraised pot
- I may drive out suited connectors, the dangerours hands V trips
2. I would then bet half the pot of the flop
- looking for a flush draw or KQ hand to re-raise me
- get the chance to pair up, ideally with a spade to get paid off more
- look like a weak continuation bet for someone to make a move on me
- I dont like check raising, and IF YOU checked raised me Tightend, I'd pass 2 pair like a shot.

against the type of players you describe i think a check is the prefered option here, if they have any kind of draw they will call and whilst it is good to get money in the pot whilst you are ahead , its pot limit so a full pot bet of 600 wont chase them away due to their stack sizes. There are 6 players in this pot and you can be fairly sure you are ahead at the moment but I think your hand is fairly vunarable here. If someone bets just after you and you get some callers iin between then I think a full pot reraise is the play, however this depends on the amount of pressure you can apply.
In limit poker the hand that benefits most from flop betting is the hand with the biggest draw and i think that ( because of blinds and stack sizes) this statement holds true here even tho it is pot limit.

bet 1/2 pot, which builds the pot and will give clear indications of oppnents holding depending on their reaction.

I bet 300. reluctantly, hoping one of the loosey gooseys come over the top
In fact both called, and the other two players pass
We move to the turn
