Folds round to dan Charlton, (2nd at Manchester earlier in year), who raises on button to 600.

Called By Alan Pit Bull McClean in SB and Greg Howard (Gregor) on BB.

Flop AA9 rainbow. all check.

Turn 9.

Alan checks, Greg bets out 900, Dan folds. Alan calls.

River 5. Alan checks.

Greg looks at his cards, looks at Alan and looks at his cards again. Sighs in defeat and says "I'm playing the board".

Unluckily so was Alan, and his K high took the pot.

Another local guy, paul "Madcabbie" bennet, chipped up with over 50K. Been off the scene for a while, he was aksing for staking for this event just last week. Top fella.

Interesting hand..

At the table next to me I see Nick Slade standing up saying he hasn't said Call yet.

Flop of 5 A 3 2.

Nick has bet 15k. Dan Corbett says Call and shoves ALL his chips over the line, tabling AK.

Nick turns over K10, then it turns out Dan has more than 15k so in essence has reraised although only devlared a call, and all cards are on show.

Dan thought he only had 15k, hence the call. Just to confuse issues further, Nick Slade states he hasnt actually called.

Floor is called and the ruling is that betting can take oplace on the river.

Nick's drawing dead anyway, river is 2, Dan goes all in and nick folds. Pretty quick.

Trigg raises and finds 2 callers.

flop 689 Rainbow.

bet from Paul bennett and a flat from trigg and a push from Kevin Gilbert and a Tank fold from Paul and a call from Trigg.

Trigg tables 710 for flopped straight and Kevin flips over 88 for flopped set.

Trigg fades and is now up to 48K. 150-300 when we come back.

Paul folded 66 for flopped set. Nice fold.


Caroline is off to Greek restaurant with Herbie. I get to try and fix my Laptop.
