Leicester - Central location. 45 minutes drive from Dusk Till Dawn. 1 hour from Birmingham / Warwick Castle / Stratford upon Avon, 1 hr 30 mins from London. Cheap (compared to London).

Newcastle - friendly people

taken from http://www.trustedhousesitters.com/house-sitting-job-dulwich-london-england-united-kingdom.php

We're retired doctors heading off to India for 6-9 months. We need someone to look after our beloved, well-equipped house, garden and cat in quiet, leafy, well-connected West Dulwich.

What responsibilities are required of house sitter?

We'd need you to feed and look after the cat, water the garden and generally keep the house ticking over:

- Cat needs a daily feed, but the auto-feeder and neighbours can step in if you need to go away for a bit. Other than that she takes care of herself, has a catflap, and goes to the loo outside!
 - Peter the Gardener comes once a week, so you just need to water it between his visits.

Features of the property and location

- House tucked away in a small cul-de-sac with lovely neighbours.
- Plenty of off-street parking.
- Sizeable garden with pond surrounds the house.
- Gorgeous leafy surroundings, with BelAir (incl tennis court) and Dulwich Parks within easy walking distance.
 - Close to pubs, restaurants and shops of West Dulwich and Dulwich Village. Close to all Dulwich schools.
 - West Dulwich station is 7-8 mins' walk, with frequent trains take 12 mins to London Victoria. Buses 3 and N3 to Oxford Circus are close.
 - We currently have 16Mbps Wifi from O2, and SkyHD on a big plasma.

Our next door neighbours had house sitters once to look after their dogs whilst they went on holiday.  Pretty sure guy got paid to do it and was a sort of pro house sitter.  Guess it was through something like that link.

You could go and plane spot the world's best fighter aircraft. Maybe ask for a go in the cockpit
