5900 and jam are pretty much the same here imo, if you wanna induce some sort of spazz I think you're more likely to get it with a 4100ish sizing. Pot is still big enough pre to get it in on one street postflop.

I think jam pre is best. Given the cover of the 'call or raise' debacle he's not gunna find a fold with any of his value 4bet range.

As played fold turn though

Not too sure where the 'interesting' part is.

Prefer to shove pre. Raise to induce is fine but amount should be less to give illusion of FE.

If I've put 40% of my stack in pre with AA I don't care what the flop is, the rest is joining it.

The alternative would be to continue in the tourney with 13K or so at 100-200, very passive but not the end of the world to just shut down on this flop as I think we can be about as certain as you can be in this game of what he has.

Easy with hindsight I suppose as I might well, in that position, shove the flop when checked to me in a cryey kind of way thinking at least I have a few outs to a set. I think I would do this cause I'm average, if people want to be better then there are other options that might bruise our egos but ensure we live.

I think what the OP is referring to is the fact that the TD was called over pre and that the villan didn't speak once. In my experience, when there is a debate like this pre and the villan doesn't talk, he's tring to hide the strength of his hand. Being has we have AA, it's quite likely he has AK+ and prob JJ+.

I don't want to sound results orientated but I spoke to the OP before he posted and before i knew the outcome and thought it was a fold on the turn having checked. I advised him to post for the analysis on Blonde as he thought that just check folding AA was a bit nitty.

GL in the future Chris your a good thinker, keep it up and to Blonde!

The whole comp is a nits dream. Most people could not fold and pretty much played their hands face up.
I know a lot of players think that plAying recreational opponents in a small buy in comp is a mine field and this could be evidenced by the fact that so many named and bounty players never made day 2 but this hand looks pretty straight forward. The number of people advocating folding dem Aces itt and the number of people actually doing it in the heat of battle would be totally different tho. Wink

Shove pre.

5900 w/o knowing his true intention (and the fact that he's aware you have no idea) is super strong.

Just shove, and hope he picks it off with a pair / AK / AQ type hands.

As for the hand itself, as played OTF, I'm b/f flop.

I hate checking this flop because we completely ruin any chance to find out where we are (even this shallow).
