Agree German stuff is good, but... NO WAY is it better than Belgian beer!!! Gotta disagree with the choices too! If I was gonna choose a couple of beers to represent Germany I'd go for:

Maisel for my Weisse Bier

Didn't rate Franziskaner, but Erdinger was always a nice 'pint'!

You have to remember the chances of me finding single bottles of many of these random beers will be small in my local supermarket/off licence.

Anyone tried smoked beer? That's "interesting".

Think those Rekordlings taste just like Ribena, which isn't really ideal, not too keen on the Brothers either - it's just cider with syrup in it (they gave me a free pint for necking a shot of syrup on its own).

Quite like the Koppaberg elderflower and lime but after a bit of practice my home made stuff is nicer Smiley

My favourite bottled beer available in supermarkets is Black Sheep.

Sheep, sheep, sheep!

Love Black sheep, drank many a pint when I was at uni. Unfortunately it tends to be more of a guest ale in Nottingham pubs as opposed to a permanant offering.

me and my dad once drove to bulgaria and back. On the way back something fucks up on the car and we stop in leuvren belgium. End up in some beautiful town centre full of students and around 5/6 cafe bars around a statue. The car wont be ready until the morning so the new MO is clearly get pissed as farts. We sit outside a lovely cafe bar in the blistering sunshine and a waitress comes out to serve us. I order a blonde beer, maybe leffe, maybe hoegarden was fkin strong and defo an amateur choice. My dad likes to think he is a purist, so asks for a local beer, the woman says "stella, ok?" he says, nah something local, local. She became very tilted and grabbed his head and swung it 180 degrees and the stella brewery was about 40 yards accross the road. My dad trying to be a smart arse got owned. We were both smashed and were forced to eat some nuts and bombay mix with the rest of our beers and we did our knackers on some strange pinball/bingo type game where you must get certain balls into loads of holes as the balls descend, tricky esp when drunk as lords.

I think peroni in bottles is pretty rank, it's nice on tap though.

had an amazingly nice thai beer in a Dublin restaurant last year, can't for the life of me remember the name.

Without doubt the finest lager is KASTEEL CRU, not sure you can get it any more though.

Group 2

Best of British

Not gonna drink all these tonight lol, Will just drink 'em as I fancy over the week. Wanted to include a Welsh and Scots beer too really, but the only ones I could find in Tesco were stout which I fucking hate.
