Empire £1-2 some evening last week. Games are overall soft and deep but seem to contain at least one good reg at all times these days. Villian is one of these regs, a winning thinking player on the solid/tightish side. I've been pretty aggro so far but had the goods when showing. He would assume i'm at least a decent player compared to how fishy everyone else is.

I hold JJ utg and open to £8 (£600)

Utg+1 calls (£200)

Reg utg+2 raises to £37 (£300)

Gets back to me. Utg+1 was quite unlikely to do anything but fold from what i'd seen of him so far. I decide i don't like anything and fold.

Thoughts?

impossible to comment without more info/reads.

villain being good thinking winning play on the tightish side is not enough for me to fold personally.

This is his 2nd 3bet of the night after an hour and a half and his 1st vs me. Table is quite loose and limpy preflop. I don't think he has any reason to be out of line.

4bet/get it in profitable? I disliked flatting, but i'm not sure about either option.

Ok cool. The reason i disliked flatting is that i felt i would hate so many run outs, we're not that deep and i saw myself entering a situation in which i either put my all money in crushed, win a pot that isn't that large, or get taken off the best hand a bunch cos i'm oop. I think with AK i'd prefer 4b/getting it in because i have two blockers, but does anyone really hate a fold with jacks here?

I certainly don't hate it. Those guys always have it when they 3b.

Folding here personally, bit deeper I'd peel. 4bet sounds super spewy given that we have no reason to think that he's light here

The rest of us are peeling 3 cards from a deck that only contains 2 more jacks though Wink
