I am going through a phase of losing all of my all ins and starting to question pulling the trigger.  Would you play this differently?

PokerStars - $4 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players

SB: $400.00
BB: $400.00
UTG: $527.90
Hero (CO): $415.40
BTN: $416.70

SB posts SB $2.00, BB posts BB $4.00

Pre Flop: ($6.00) Hero has

fold, Hero raises to $10.00, fold, SB calls $8.00, fold

Flop: ($24.00, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $17.10, SB raises to $52.00, Hero raises to $147.10, SB raises to $390.00 and is all-in, Hero calls $242.90

Turn: ($804.00, 2 players)

River: ($804.00, 2 players)

SB shows (Three of a Kind, Sixes) (PreFlop 52%, Flop 69%, Turn 82%)
Hero shows (One Pair, Aces) (PreFlop 48%, Flop 31%, Turn 18%)
SB wins $802.00

Never. even if he showed me his cards.

saw our hand and board and assumed we had a spot on river.

play it exactly like this without a really good reason not to imo.

I'd rather get it in otf with A2dd than AKdd as we take out alot of his kq,k10,kxdd combos that are happily trying to shovel moniez into the pot.

I don't mind calling the flop vs his value range assuming he never peels JJ pre and trys to get q10dd in otf.

   equity    win    tie          pots won    pots tied
Hand 0:    54.924%     54.80%    00.13%              4340           10.00   { 66, QdTd, AJo }
Hand 1:    45.076%     44.95%    00.13%              3560           10.00   { AdKd }

In summary, 3b the flop isolates us vs the top of his range.

call flop, this is a great hand to have in our calling range, we are calling c/r on this board with sooo many weaker hands such as just top pair, some gutshots with bkdoorFD, KJ, FDs. 3betting flop is marginal with no reads, most ppls c/r range on this board is air which we have almost dead, gutshots which are nearly dead, Fds which we crush, combo draws(only QTdd) AJ which we're a slight underdog, 66 which we're in bad shape vs. so unless you think villian is going to spaz with air/ worse fds, 3betting flop just makes him fold when hes behind and 4bet when hes got us beat.
Albeit occasionally i will raise vs some players but never at the large sizing of 142, so unnecessary and unbalanced, 100-110 is optimal Smiley

I'd prefer to just call the check raise if we were readless.

Call the check raise on the flop.

Call his $100 or so on the turn.

Have a little cry on the river when he shoves.
