is Rupert Elder

Back in April former Economics student and then full time online cash game pro, Rupert won the 2011 European Poker Tour San Remo

Elder primarily played $2/$4, $3/$6 and the occasional game of $5/$10 no limit Hold’em cash games online but had recently started playing more tournaments with decent success. Just prior to San Remo he finished 80th at EPT Berlin netting him €10,000, which at that point was his best tournament cash. Then he completely obliterated this figure by winning a staggering €930,000 by besting a 987 strong field in picturesque Italy.

Since then Rupert has put up a series of consistent results including two WSOP cashes amongst them a top 150 finish in the main event and 12th at EPT Loutraki. He also had a deep run this week at EPT Prague.

You can see his blonde Poker well from earlier this year at http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=53282.0

In what has been a pretty spectacular year for live tournament success for blonde players, of course Rupert is right up there. Amongst all those successful tournament players we're very lucky that they contribute here. For example, of Ruperts over 1,600 posts on here, 527 are on Poker Hand Analysis board. Depth of contribution like that, from players like this, help make that the resource it is becoming.

Here's to more success in 2012 for Rupert.

Are these advent things 'ranked' in anyway? ie. is the Xmas day one going to be a mega star?

I'm just starting to realise my 7th place finish in SPT Leeds and subsequent mincash in the SPT main event is going to get overlooked....

Not ranked as such, though I have them in an order that makes for narrative sense/a good thread (to me, anyway)

24th and 25th Dec are to my mind a bit special though, so you could say they are placed there to end the thread with a bang.

I don't think rupert as a hateful bone in his body.
Too many awesome players with massive results are nice guys these days.

How many people are thinking the monte Carlo is their best chance of getting in the calendar this year and if the monte winner is a blonde will they auto get in.

Please can Trigg or someone equally talented run a book?

Rupert - what a nice guy!

I havent spent too  much time chatting to him, but I am looking forward to when we meet as he def owes me a few drinks.

I have often thought that "talent spotter" and "horse selector" should go on my CV

He  is also average at poker to! #doesntturnuptillthe5k'sgooff!

Did some stuff with Rupert this year which didn't pan out as I'd have liked but can say he's definitely a "good guy", helped me out in many ways and really apprecaited it.

Keep crushing mate.

more great entries over the last few days.  None had occurred to me before but when I saw them I though "ooooh yes!" - wp all.  Cracking job so far tighty.  I've got a fair idea who the last couple of days might be, but then again I also had a tenner each on Jade and Craig to win the X factor Smiley
