First - Huge respect to redarmi. I didn't manage to find time to congratulate him yesterday. Absolute top man! Great pick Tighty.

Next - Dave Shoelace

Gimme a minute, I'll think if something.....

See. that's what I like about Barry. You can rub him down without having to post a smiley face to let him know you're joking.

Congrats Bazza. Well deserved.

I didn't think I would get in, because so far everyone on it has either achieved something, is good at poker, or is well liked.

had a little giggle at this - doesn't this just about sum you up? Smiley

Jake "neverbluff67" Cody

Has there every been a two year stretch like it for a British player?

1st EPT Deauville for  €857,000
1st WPT London for £273,783
1st in the WSOP $25K Heads Up for $ 851,192
7th in the WSOPE Main for € 150,000
2nd in the GUKPT Grand final for £115k
3rd in the DTD Monte Carlo for £31,000

I had the opportunity to watch Jake play for three days this past weekend

Firstly, he spent the whole time glued to the updates on his IPhone, which is good. Secondly he could not have been more impressive. Fantastic temperament and table presence to accompany that fantastic talent. Humble, polite, friendly. On a final table of contrasting styles and characters his approach to the game stood out enormously

Of course he suffered a nasty cooler with three left, doubly-disappointing as his edge on his remaining opponents must have been huge, but still another tremendous performance at the end of another fantastic year.

The year has culminated in his being picked up as a Pro by PKR, and congratulations to him for that

Wtf. Would he be in if Rastafish had any posts on blonde Smiley
Won't bore you with my stories you have heard before but if my son Jake grows up to be as well mannered, polite and as decent a chap as Mr Cody, then I will be one proud father.
Super pick for one of lildave's super gang.

I loaded the thread and thought it was a picture of me for a second when I saw the long black hair!

I don't know Jake at all personally but for Herbie to say this:

if my son Jake grows up to be as well mannered, polite and as decent a chap as Mr Cody, then I will be one proud father.

he must be one hell of a top fella.

Good choice.  Obviously can play a bit, and have only ever heard good things said about him.

Just catching up. Some great picks over the last few days.
Monda is a legend although I must admit to being 30+ pages behind on his diary. redarmi is like the godfather of the betting corner of the forum.
