Stars MTT. Blinds 100/200

Seat 4 & 7 limp. I make it 800 from 5.2k on the button with

Both limpers call. Seat 4 has 4.8k, seat 7 has 4k

Flop    three clubs

Both check, what do I do?

I have no real information except that seat 4 has previously picked up a couple of orphan pots by betting in position.

Bet 1200 seems about right (slightly less than half the pot)

i make it a little smaller pre even though everyone will think this is terrible. i like to make it 675, with stacks it makes my bluffs cheaper although i apprecoiate balance may not be terribly important, but still shallow enough to get it in by river if i need to, also it opens room for somebody in the blidns to 3bet me wider if they think i'm iso raising light.

otf i like to bet 925ish, def less than 1000 to induce light calls and some spewy raises.

Why, when we leave 3200 behind (or 3400 when betting 1k) we are always calling a shove, yes? (Geniunely interested)

Yeah size to induce room for spaz all day on the flop. Might go a bit bigger pre since your opponents are likely spots at the table but your sizing is fine.

I'm beginning to see the error of my ways, but are we not concerned about inviting a call on such a draw heavy board?

we're ok with it for two reasons:

1. it's hard to hit on the turn, where you'll bet again.

2. for this reason, many draws will shove now with fold equity knowing they'll get to see both cards if called.

Therefore, we're defo happy to bet small, call it off.
