this isnt my field, but i believe this is a design choice and you could theoretically design this to work in reverse with the kindle getting lighter as it fills up?

Probably heavier with dirt and dust over time, but if you drop it and scratch it, some of the plastic will come off the case, reducing the weight. Wonder if the battery running low makes a difference, working off the same logic of Einstein's famous equation? In fact, the capacity of the battery lessens over time, with the potential energy given off as heat and light - so it also becomes lighter. So that probably makes a bigger difference than the addition of extra books in the memory.
What was the question?

Do they give off any kind of smell?
If they do it's getting lighter every day.

What if I take it on a supersonic jetplane?
I know they get lighter if you take it to Scotland (while it's much colder here anyway).

Smell of cheap plastic
Does the battery cycling add or lose weight though?

It would become a useless bit of plastic in St Helens.

Good point. Wonder if they absorb particles in the air that smell, as that would make them heavier.
