Terrible finishing from Nicholson. Mrs Huybrechts is in for it tonight. Go on my san.

Out goes the biggest gimp in darts.
WP Huybrechts.
Could be some really awesome betting opportunities from hereon in. Could do with Chisnall getting through tonight as I think he will represent a huge laying opportunity vs Huybrechts.
In the top half:
Chisnall/Huybrechts
Wade/Anderson
Bottom half:
Lewis/Jenkins
Wade/Part
Looks an awesome line-up this year.
Hard to argue which section is more difficult tbf.

Missed Whitlock from top half. Thats for sure the harder part of the draw, Whitlock/Anderson if both get through is pick of the quarters by miles and the only reason Anderson isnt fav

Jenkins and Part are low-mid 90s players (maybe a little harsh on Jenks) but Lewis @ 4/9 surely too big

Copy and paste fail.
Don't forget that Whitlock/Anderson knocking each other out means it'd be one of them vs one of Huybrechts/Chisnall so you could argue that a Wade/Lewis semi is tougher and makes up for the slightly weaker quarter final opponents?
Either way will be a cracking few days of darts. No idea who the favourite should be right now.

Wade has a tourny avg of 92.96 with 8maxes in 3 games
Chisnall has a tourny avg of 98.78 with 11 maxes in 2 games
Arguably Chisnall would be a tougher semi
Wouldnt be on Wade with counterfeit against Lewis and think winner of Anderson/Whitlock v Lewis is the final

Wade appears to have cruised through but interestingly all 3 of his opponents had sub 90 averages and that includes a lot of legs where they dont get to a finish, so either Wade freezes them or he has ran good. Dont think King John is good enough to take advantage tho, he is basically a decent journeyman who is gonna be consistently averaging low-mid 90s- tourny avg so far 90.98 in 3 games is probably a little under what he is capable of, but needs to avg 97 to beat Wade id guess.

Tbf to Wade, as much as I don't think he'll win it, like Guy said he's won his matches comfortably so in some respects knocking his average is useless (admittedly I have done it in this thread). Think we'll have a much better understanding of where he's at after the quarters as I'd expect a 97/98 average at least vs Part.
Chisnall known choker as well. Fair enough he beat Taylor, but he's not exactly known for being able to hole out at the crucial moments. Would fancy Wade vs him personally as Wade knows how to get the job done.
Think the fact you can look at it and say, "oh I fancy A, B and C because of these reasons" whilst someone else can say, "I don't, I fancy X, Y and Z because..." is a great thing. Has made this World Champs the best imo as normally its one name from two at most rather than from perhaps 3-5 players.
Given some great betting opportunities too!

Jenkins averaged nearly 103 last night against someone who plays very very slow, I thought he would struggle last night but seems he played his best Darts in years.
Hopefully he can keep it up for at least the next 2 games.

He played real well for 2/3 sets in round before- dont think Pipe being slow affected him at all, just doubt he is good enough to beat anyone that is gonna avg 100 over 11/13 sets

Spot on, you could make and excuse for anyone, been a very exciting tournie with a lot more good games than bad.

Had a couple of small outright bets. Hamilton @ 46.0 and Huybrechts @ 20/1. Former just seems way too big. Chisnall likely to suffer from letdown a bit tonight and didn't actually play that well the other night and he is a big enough scorer. Huybrechts bet may be a bit muggy tbh. I don't know that much about him but was massively impressed by the way he went about his business tonight and it didn't seem to fluster him at all. He could be unexposed and 20/1 seemed fair to me but all with the proviso that backing a relative unknown after a big upset win is pretty much the nut worst thing you can do in sports betting. Front of the market all seem to have flaws to me with possible exception of Lewis.

I'd love to see that stats on Players results the game after they have put Taylor out.
