Thank you all,

And a big well done to your daughter too The Nun.

This was just a small stakes mtt.
I have not played many, moneyed in a few, I normally play stts.
My stt game has been going well over the last couple of years, well I am making money, not alot, but I play for fun really, its not my living, I had a bit of lets say, a dry spell, I asked for advice on this and was told if you're playing for fun and not having fun, leave it a while and go back to it!! Which I took this advice and did.

I went back to my normal site and played a couple more stts, a few days later, first game I played ok but not fab by no means,2nd game I got rivered time and time again so I went to bed!!
As i lay thinking about my game i couldnt sleep so I got up,, logged on to a different site and thought i would try a mtt, not really my game, 1hour on a stt is long enough for me really.

I played as well as I could as a novice in a mtt then I hit the money(paid to 20) not much more than my buy in!! I thought after playing for over 2 hours this was not great, so I thought to myself lets try make final table, not a great payout for 10th but better than 20th!!

I did make the final table but it was late I was really tired and never thought I would do any good.I did ok a few went out and I found myself down to the last 4, the guy next to me took every one of my blinds by raising big or just going all in on me,I was really tired by now, it was about 4.30am. I knew I had to get up with the girls in the morning, so I decided to make a stand with the next picture card I got,he raised me again and this time I called with a Q8, I think flop came something like 6,8,10 rainbow, he went all in on me again, lol. I had mid pair and called. He had nothing and I took him out.

We were all even in chips now but again I was up against Mr" I will take charge of the game" all in re-raising etc. I then did the same again waited called a re-raise and called his all in with another mid pair..
I won!!

Heads up now but I was megga tired now and clock watching the 2 hours before I knew the girls would be up..
He was good but I did manage to beat him and I jumped around the room until I decided it was time to wake the hubbie up drag him downstairs and show him the win on the pc screen(had to be done, telling him was not enough!!)

Thats my story, I am sure lots of you lot have read this type of thread before and said "whoopie a win for her."

But cast your minds back to your first win, be it stt, mtt, big win or small win and have that nice thought once again 'cos I am damm sure u all didĀ  feel how I felt when I won!!

Take a few seconds to remember it.

Small acorns and all that!!

I love blonde so much, I have read threads that have improved my game and I thank each and every one of you xx.
I would like to say a special thankyou (seeing as I am off on one!! )to Colchester Kev, who encouraged me to post on here.

I would also like to say theĀ  biggest massive thankyou to my husband Pete, who introduced me to internet poker. I am the luckest girl in the world to have met you, I love you hun xxx.

All the best to all of you.
If i have had made one of you blondes smile thinking back to your first win.. jobs a good un ...

Kind regards

Shelly xxxxxxxxx
