Option 3, claim refund - who knows if they’ll still be trading in 2022? Get the refund claim in early. Waiting until September for full refund beats a few pence in the £1 ‘dividend’ via an insolvency process, one day. And believe me, as wealthy as Branson is, he’ll enjoy the benefit of limited liability >  pumping money into a loss-making business until he runs low, if it comes to it. I believe Mr Buffett sold some significant investments in major US airlines already.

Even if you take the refund now, you don't get it until 90 days after the flight, so that's September anyway.

I don't think they're going anywhere, so not that bothered, and I'm going to Vegas before Xmas.

I paid via C/C, so have that course of action to go down, too.

I hope you do. As soon as it's safe to return I'm going out and staying for a month minimum.

I've got hotels booked 6th-22nd November for the 2 Holiday Gift Shoppes events. Will do both of them as long as myvegas has the 500,000 points rewards available for both events.

I can get ~£3k in freeplay with those, and spining that through the machines at low stakes will pay for that and a trip in December, too.

If no HGS, I've got hotels booked 2nd-31st December, so get out of town just before it goes mad, and catch NFR before Xmas, with all the cowboys.

Are you in the Wynn Marky.  They wrote to me this morning letting me know they were reopening soon.  Pools, casino, 16 restaurants opening.  Dare say the buffet won't be opening.

Same for me and Mr Eccles.

At least keeping the flight as an open booking you guarantee access to reward seats so that's a positive. I'm assuming that of course, would be a bit s**t if they only let you re-book on a date when reward seats are available.

Yeah, I will be. My offers only go to August 31st at the moment, so waiting for them to send the later ones out, and can then add my 4 Wynn slots night on the back of those.

I got an e-mail, and thought the video was quite a good touch, too.

I might just pay for a couple nights on top and save another hotel move. Don't mind throwing them some dough, given how well they've treated all their employees, even the part-time etc.

I've left mine as if I go in November I want to get there as the first HGS starts, and then leave as soon as the 2nd HGS finishes. The flights on those dates are £300 more expensive than the one I booked for next month, but they'll waive the fee difference as I'll be home by 30th Nov. If I don't, I'll just change it to December and pay the difference, which is ~£100.

Agree i wouldn't be backing Virgin to still be going in a year at 1/20 or 1/10!  No brainer to anyone in this situation to get your readies back asap.

No brainer for me to freeroll a £300 price change.

Most people are on miles anyway, by looks of things.

Can just chargeback or 75 it if they go tits, which I don't think will happen anyway.

Another reason for me was the fact that my flight still isn't actually cancelled or at least it wasn't at the time. I could've sweated it out, hope it gets cancelled and take a refund but the risk that it goes ahead and I lose the option to make it flexible was a bit much.

Worst possible case for me was that the flight goes ahead but I don't want to go as Vegas is still effectively shut.

Didn't help that my flights span June/July and Virgins cancellation policy seems to be based on a whole month meaning one leg of my journey could get cancelled but not the other. Don;t know what the fine print would be in this situation but it just seemed easier to switch them to flexi.

Mine got cancelled a couple days ago, and I was flying June 17th.

My old man was on the same flight out with mother, but they got an email cancelling their flight home, not the flight out Cheesy

He's getting a refund, as he paid for upgrades separately to the flights and won't be able to go until next summer at the earliest.

Saw that last night, lol. Matt Bridger was live with bloke who was in Louis Theroux's doc 'Richard Wilk', and he did a few walkthroughs of the casino, explaining how things will be going forward.

Obviously they can control things around games/slots, but can't do much once everyone is trashed, lol.
