Totally useless in Nottingham I'm afraid.

Best bet is a few taxis to Derby to club sixx. Some hotties in there.

There's only one in Nottingham now. It's on Friar Lane opposite walkabout. I've not been for a good while but with good reason. The birds are well ropey!!

Can anyone recommend a decent place for hotels? I need about 5 twin rooms.

I am going to try the Park Plaza, which I stayed in once before, but their reservations line is closed until the morning. But if that goes tits up, any suggestions?

Obv I am looking for city centre, quite cheap etc.

Crown Plaza, Ramada, Holiday Inn express & Park Plaza are all really good location wise.

No idea what they're like for quality but I'd guess they're all pretty decent and I'd assume you're not overly bothered about luxuries of any kind.

All 4 of these are within easy walks of everywhere you'll want to go.

If for some strange reason you want to go to Hooters then I think Jury's Inn is closest to that. You're a bit of a trek from everything else then though but nothing overly stressful.

Matt missed the Mercure, Welbeck, Ibis and the Strathdon

Think Park Plaza is by far the best though.

Yup. Forgot those ones. All pretty close to everything you'll need.

Got the Park Plaza booked in the end.

Next question - curry house?

I quite liked the one near the Hogs Head (if that still exists - both pub and curry house)

Think thats a no and a no im afraid.

Hogs head is now the royal oak but pretty much the same.

Think the curry house has changed to a nail salon. If your facing the bar leave out the right doors and over the street on left?

Ralph took me to a curry house which served Ostrich Tandoori.

Can't for the life of me remember the name of the place.. it was quite near the Gala.

Very good food.

Only problem with Memsaab is it closes early. Unless you're doing curry first then beers you'll need somewhere else.

Also they won;t like you if you're all pissed. It's a posh curry restaurant not a curry house. As I said though it's really good food.
