Can't really leave this one off the thread, for obvious reasons.  Carter USM, fabulous band, fabulous memories.

Sorry about the ad - looks like EMI have blocked all versions including the video, other than their own.

The first bands I was into were Carter and James, purely because some matey in class gave me a C90 with one band on one side and the t'other on the flip.

I loved the Bridewells mainly becasue they were all my mates and I was going out with the lead singers sister. Their wiki page is possibly the most funny thing I have read in years.
