Don't think I've ever had a 'favourite song', and I tend to play an album to death for a few days before swapping.

One album has been a constant throughout my life though and I never get tired of it, so probably most appropriate for this thread.  it's a classic, pop pickers.

I like the idea of just one song each.

Epic fail by ManuelsMum unfortunately.

I like your idea of not posting any song or story but just pointing out a slight deviation from plan by someone else. Woo, he posted 3 more songs and no story. Does this reflect your real life persona or do you reserve it for the interwebs, a la keyboard warrior?

Probably better without the video, but the song is definitely in my Top 10.  Just beautiful:

when I lived away from England for the first time, this song reminded me of home and brought me comfort in difficult times.

for another song (it's German) which is currently being played in my house a lotttt (mainly by me) click. The lyrics talk about a guy who can't find the words and wishes that 'words' were his 'language' and what he'd say to the girl. Awesome song.

A homage to Paul Simon, the song(episode of their show) is about a New Zealander that sleeps with an Aussie which is what the first few seconds of the vid are about and then reminisces about his past loves.

I think this might have won an Emmy, or was nominated.

Maybe my OP caused a little confusion.

Not asking people pick their 'favourite', as like a few have said - different songs/different moods.

If needs be, drop one in every few days - that way the thread doesn't become one persons playlist. At the same time it may remind people of a great tune they liked, but perhaps has been a little forgotten. It may even give us a little more of an eclectic list.

Oh and please try and keep flaming etc to a minimum, as it will be a pain getting through it all IOT find videos (I've deleted a couple of banter posts I put up purely for this reason)

Cool cool, music is by far my favourite art! It can draw me out of a lull and inspire/motivate me, no questions. Would love to see some gems posted. So far boshi's pick gets my mind racing back to yesteryear and happy times from such a melancholic song. I will delete my original post as this had far too many selections and may steal other peoples thoughts and ideas!

Not sure of the rules anymore but this counts on just about every level I can think of.  Just a wonderful piece of music and brings back good memories and has got me through bad times too

There are no rules!!!!

good, coz I want to post another one but it's not been a few days yet.

This isn't my favourite song either.  It's not even my favourite James song.  But I heard it today and it's one that always invokes a memory of snogging my boyfriend on the top deck of the bus on the way to school whilst listening to this on my walkman.  Classy.
