Frankie Boyle itt.

I think he's funny.

haha. class. tbf I used to like him but I think he is a bit of a dick these days, now he just tries to be as rude as possible for the sake of it, he forgot about also being funny imo.

I think i know what you mean, have felt that at times.

Guess i just like edgy stuff sometimes.
Might be part of a pathological need to be in trouble.... :/

I see. Glad it was removed, we've all done stupid things when we're wrecked (myself more than average)

Thought there was a joke I just didnt get lol

It wasn't funny either.

Can't remember the entire thing but think I posted a joke last night that was a little close to the bone.

Apparently I put a disclaimer and apology in.. But I dont mean any offence by it, I am a fan of all kinds of jokes, including rough ones on touchy subjects.

Hope people weren't too upset.. Had had a few.

Smiley

I laughed a lot more at Alex and nearly posted a picture that would have explained how silly you'd feel in the morning but the pic was too close to the same lines. Disclaimered and apologied up though!

So... some pretty big news, although can't go into specifics yet.

But effectively, I've been planning this for about 6 months - where I am now, I am able to go to a very special place for a holiday once the work is finished.

The whole arm thing scared me a bit, making me worry I wouldn't be able to go.  But a couple of days later, some pills and a healed scalple investigation and I'm feeling much better, close to 100% and definitely going to be able to go.  It will be a holiday of a lifetime and I fortunately had the great problem of choosing absolute luxury vs better itinerary, and not being one for golden sinks or egyptian napkins I've obviously gone with the better plan!

I will be gone for 15 days from Sunday and be completely incommunicado during this time, no internet, mobile phone coverage or even carrier pidgeon possibilities.

I am taking my camera, handycam, a lot of storage space and cannot wait! I will take my laptop in the hope that I'll be able to make a diary each day, record it in wordpad and accompany it with pictures on my return.
There is little I can say about the destination that doesn't give away where I am now or going to.  However this place was pretty special to me when I was growing up, and I never thought I'd be able to get there, it's definitely one of the best times of year to go as one of the world renown events of this place is happening during my visit.

It turns out the job is going to be so close to finishing that actually one less person will make it better financially so im told (nice way to say "get out") and this is meaning I'm able to go on the trip I want.

Going to try and find a camera shop tomorrow as I think mine has a small focus problem atm, it just doesnt seem to go 'pinsharp' as quick as I think it should.  Confirmed by the Rugby festival that happened the other day here..

Anyways, got plans tonight so buenas noches chicos

lol there is a guess thats close itt..

I've now confirmed and booked it for sure!

Going Sunday morning...

to the

GALAPAGOS!

I can't express enough how excited I am, its going to be epic... I've got a 15 day tour of said islands to quite literally go almost everywhere, I'll be on a boat and overnight they travel between the islands so you wakeup with a new playground both for land and sea exploration.

I'm not PADI qualified but its actually a very difficult but satisfying dive site, with 100 dives required.

I'm going to be using the free snorkeling equipment and possibly going to be buying a waterproof camera to go with my EOS1000 and Panasonic V500 handycam.

I've got a 500Gb new drive to record everything onto, and just had the news that my old 1Tb drive that failed just before coming away has been recovered with almost everything intact which is amazing - you'd think someone like me would have a decent backup system at home, but I hadn't actually bought and put into place the 'grand plan' ive had for a few years of a NAS server with everything stored and backed up on there to ease congestion on the pc.

Will be now.

Just looked at my bank balance and for the first time in a while I'm currently in good shape, so obv insta-blow it on a mega holiday!
Got a little trip to Malta later in the year needed and possibly a week or two playing poker in South Africa...

busy busy busy..

guess that'll do for now, probably playing a session tonight... we will see.

But lonesome George is no more Sad

Definitely a place i'd like to visit, enjoy and take lots of pics. Post them all on facebook - pretty boring when someone uploads 500 pictures of Majorca but i'd definitely flick through the whole album if you did decide to!

I'll try and put this into perspective for you out there..

I took 2 hours to do a 15 min walk home in the middle of Hong Kong, just to take photos/ retake/ different angles...
I've taken over 30000 photos in the last 3 years with this camera... and I have 500Gb to fill and 15 days!

I'm going to be putting up a few albums on FB for sure, and plenty of other in the 'back'.

I'm told the Darwin center is actually now a bit of a dump and no one goes there because of the now deceased Lonesome George.... its causing a little stir.
