Annoying - just typed out long-ish reply and lost it. Will try to be quick now.
First, my bad; £147 pot on the turn so - yes - a reasonable price to call the shove.
In terms of his range, I really though it skewed towards spade flush draws that had flopped a straight/pair (he looked quite uncomfortable when I asked if he had

). I know he can have the ace, but shoving it rules out most/all 8x hands or flopped over pairs. Also, the quick nature of the bet seemed a bit bluffy (I know I'm stretching a bit there, but a bit of a read). Maybe some some flopped monsters, but he gets most of them in on such a wet flop, I think. Also, when he has the ace, it often gives him 2 pair or top pair/nut flush draw and I think this villain may bet smaller with stronger value hands (even though I realise the turn bet is standard size).
I realise the 2-spade hands represent a small % of the possible combos, but thought they were much more likely at the time. Having said that, I'm still not sure about the call.
