A dish ran way with a spoon?

I was going to post exactly the same thing - not sure how the two of us independently got there but that's quite scary!

Both weird obv

I was hoping to go with 'both obviously on a far superior intelligence plane to everyone else' but 'weird' works too

Was clicking away at the torch relay in Nottingham last Thursday (June 28th). Hard to get decent ones really, but a couple of keepers. Torchbearer before the ice center, and then a different one coming out.

Also got a shot of one of the outriders (motorised), giving a helping hand to an outrider (pedal) up a hill. He was literally pushing him up the hill at about 3mph. Any bikers out there will know how hard this is!

These are just so good, some quite exceptional. I have no interest or "eye" for technical quality, but I loved.....

Oxford HRV's deer.

Milli's "re-touched" Church.

Sharky's planes. (Obv!)

But my favourite on this page is Rex's photo of the motorcycle mounted policeman helping the cyclist. If ever a picture told a thousand words, it is that. We don't see enough "happy" photos.

We saw the relay twice when it passed us, once because the lass carrying it works with my wife, and once to make sure my 82yr old Mother In Law saw it.
The outriders - all Met Police Officers I believe - made it into an event with their attitude.
The motorcyclists all came past with a hand outstretched to slap the palms of the spectators and there were smiles aplenty all round.

Mind you, a 10 week tour of the country getting waved at by all and sundry must be a welcome break from traffic duties on the North Circular or similar...

Great story David, thank you.

Having just spent an hour of my life on 2+2, you have no idea how refreshing to me that photo & those words, are.
