It's a great picture. Love how the web shows up.
A proper macro lens is a wondrous thing. I have a 90mm Tamron that I haven't used enough yet, but at it's extreme (90mm, F2.8, 29cm object distance) the depth of field calculates out at 0.8mm!

Just back from Strasbourg. What an amazing place. A Vast city, steeped in history. The architecture is an incredible French German mix. (The place seems to have crossed the border about a dozen times).

Sat in the Palais De L'Europe as the UK delegate. Addressed the EU Council, Voted on several issues. It was an amazing, but scary experience.

There was the most breathtaking Gothic Cathedral, but it was impossible to photograph. No matter where you stand, you can't do it justice.

There are no direct flights from the UK, so the travelling could have been a pain, twiddling our thumbs, sitting around in airports etc.
We had two choices. Be frustrated by it, or relax and enjoy it. We decided to go with option two and it was great. We read our books, watched the planes come and go, had a picnic, watched the other travellers come and go, watched the ground staff, did a quiz, ate some more, had a massage....
