Cards are in the muck.....hand is dead.  Surely the guy who had trips said something and didn't just watch all this happen?

Were the two players involved in the hand friends? In any event, if info in op is correct can't see this ruling being appropriate unless theres clear evidence of chip dumping and, after the pot is awarded, some hefty penalty is dished out too.

I was at DTD the other night when a player accidentally mucked the winning hand. Two hours later, he ran J4os into KK and was knocked out of the comp.

An hour after that, he was sitting at the bar taking a hefty pull at his third pint of larger when he suddenly realised he had indeed mucked the winning hand.

He called for a ruling and the TD immediately re-instated him into the competition. The player who received the pot in error was disqualified and all his chips were awarded to the re-instated player.

The TD then whipped out an AK-47, riddled the disqualified player with bullets and called for Sinclair to drag his still twitching corpse out to the dumpster.

Do you think this was the correct ruling?

I once mucked the winning hand in a $7k pot in Vegas, what did I do?

Slinked away quietly without saying a word with my tail between legs, and was shaking my head to myself for the next hour or so.  Cry

Just popped down to Dtd tonight and starts ribbing Gavin about his ability to run a tourney.  It turns out it was not him and Ryan was TD. Op has a few inaccuracies  and the dealer did actually see the hand and it was tabled.  The guy with the flush says trips is good so the dealer starts moving the chips towards our poster. It's at this point he shows the flush and as we all know cards speak.

Shame on those that doubt the abilities of the Dtd staff Smiley

Don't think anybody did Jase. Pretty much ever comment was suggesting that there was some kind of inaccuracy.

It ll makes much more sense now though.

in fact it would seem that the only person doubting the abilities of the dtd staff is the one who was there tonight taking the piss out of the wrong person for it

The clues were all there for an iffy Post, alex - the OP had not Posted here for nearly 5 years, then suddenly pops up with that. Nothing made any sense, & I doubt anyone took it at face value.*

Gavs a scunny boy like myself and needs to be kept on his toes and gives as good as he takes. tonight was my first outing to dtd that was not a deepstack or sat and i was really impressed with the staff. dealers are the same high standard for the £50 comp as they are for the larger ones. i always enjoy the craic with the guys down there and they seem to enjoy work a lot more than some of the miserable gits ay other places. infact i might do a TR as i cant sleep and there does not appear to be any freeview on the sky channels 900 to 969

I think you were on my opening table? You were seat 9 right? I'd already had a chat to Gavin regarding this before I started work ad he said he would get to the bottom of it. Lol
