Wenger was rightly given some leeway during the period of financial restrictions. I think he performed extremely well in that time too, given the circumstances, to keep Arsenal up there as a top 4 club.
However the last few seasons have proved now that we are out of that period he cannot be the guy to take the club forward. The same issues have kept repeating themselves and now there isn't an excuse anymore. Wenger can't do it - it seems as simple as that.
