Agree with Stu on this.

I wouldn't go near anything with only 1 seat guaranteed or which was likely to generate only 1 or 2 seats.

Make them as high as possible.

Also are the feeder tickets able to be saved or do you have to play a specific comp with them?

That's always been a bug bear with me and DTD sats. I've sometimes got time to play a feeder but I won't because I can't play the specific comp that they feed in to.

Make them as flexible as possible to encourage as many as possible entries.

This

Need to be able to play nightly comps then choose a weekly comp and then hopefully choose the monthly.

I know me and Matt will be amongst the small minority on here that aren't sat on their computers every night but if anything can be done that would be great!

$100 cubed (1 rebuy 1 addon) are cool sats and they are deeper and generate bigger ppool than a freez, make it a little more for the addon that the original stack and rebuy

Personally I wouldn't be playing any satellites with only 1 seat guaranteed.

I would like to see something like

Hourly €10 feeders to
Nightly €50F/€20R 5 seats gteed to
Weekly €200F 8 seats gteed to
Monthly €1000 5 packages gteed

Needs a bit of tweaking on the numbers but I think it works roughly if you can get a nightly turnout of 20 runners?

I think this is close but a monthly €1k with the DTD playerpool as a stand-alone tournament is too much.

I'd say following onto the sites already (imo) successful satellite times and structures would be to have daily 9pm €50, with (x seats gtd) feeder satelittes to a monthly/bi-weekly €500. Perhaps the week before this monthly/bi-weekly €500 (with x seats guaranteed) bumping it to a €100 satellite. Do the regular sub-qualifiers throughout the day to the €50 qualifier.

I think you have a really good system at the moment with the 9pm qualifier tournaments at a buyin level suitable to many regulars whilst still generating multiple seats per night to target tournaments. I also think in terms of structure for these satellites you're spot on with a relatively quick clock and 10k starting stack with re-entry.

Hi Nicola, Rob and team

just a couple of suggestions on the type of things you may want to consider to put on offer for this (great job by the way ill def be looking to satty into this!!)

VIP package - this could include upgrades on everything from flight upgrades/room upgrades/extra ticket (for example if i win a package id like to be able to take a fellow poker player with me) and maybe extra nights out there - st kitts is a nine to ten hour flight so people may want to spend an extra week out there or potentially island hop so a twin centre with maybe your week in st kitts follwed by a week in barbados or similar.

add on packages - the above but broken down to individuals so people can pick and choose what they want.

someone mentioned earlier about chartering a plane - this is def something you want to look into. i work for a very large airline and during the winter seasons we charter out our aircraft. its not as complicated or maybe as costly as it seems and would be much easier for all involved especially as your doing sattys so you would already know approximately how many people you would be flying out there. someone also mentioned about the £700 to go towards flights - getting that price for two adults and two children would be virtually impossible - even booking this early you'd be looking at about £2k minimum for four people to book people individually (Ive just had a quick swizz at BA and they wanted £2.6k) - chartering a plane may well reduce the cost and the flights could be tailored to your requested dates.

when i thought about replying to this thread i had plenty more ideas but as its first thing on a Monday morning my brain has does what it always does and turned to mush. I'm coming up to dtd for the gp so if you want to have a chat then please feel free to collar me or drop me an email on here.

oh and Alex i noticed youve got the job of organising the 'fun stuff' (still a pretty tough job). Again if you need a hand with this please let me know and ill see if i can help - as mentioned before i work in the industry (the airline is attatched to a huge travel company) so would be glad to offer any assistance i can.

Anything to keep costs down is great for me. I would hate to have to go on this in November and have to leave the wife and kids behind

Thanks Alex

That's great to hear you're ideas and as for chr=artering a plane that is an idea and something we have thought about. Give me a shout at the Grand prix and we can discuss it if there's time Smiley

The £700 will only include the player themselves and those wanting to bring family will have to put up the money for the additional flight (still a fantastic price holiday when just haveing to pay for flights!!). The reason for this is that players who want to come alone don't want additional costs to be involved for others if they are not bringing anyone if that makes sense.

Let me know if you have any other thoughts, you can PM me too Smiley

Cheers Nicola
