Work placement
«

Later on this year I start work placement and unfortauntely I haven't done much to help me find somewhere decent or anywhere at all for that matter. I've had a look through Uni and numerous other sources for decent placements that would actually interest me, but nothing.
I am obviously a poker enthusiast and would love to be working with something to do with that, but emailed lots of poker companies and card rooms (inc Pokerstars and DTD) and they don't have anything going. I was trying to think out of the box, rather than battle with 200 more students for one place at a company.
I've looked through these placements available and I don't want an office 9-5 job, just want something hands on and ya know, exciting a little more different, so do any of you know about any decent companies with placements going? I am studying Business, so anything in that profession should help, I am obviously not looking to be a mechanic or anything like that.
Any out of the box suggestions also helpful

Thanks for the reply guys.
I am not looking just to work in a casino, but would perhaps love to work within one in an important role, rather than dealing house and poker games. I used to work in a casino about a year and half ago, enjoyed it, but this is placement, need to learn and get some valuable experience.
I did get an offer to work down in London on the underground and offered £16k a year, I ended up declining the offer due to the fact I don't want to work in London.
I am based in Sheffield. I am probably looking for a decent enough placement in local cities such as Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
